    Chicks'n'Politics presents a "Brunch & Learn Series" designed to engage and activate young(18-40) women of color in the political process. Through panel and one on one discussions learn about civic engagement opportunities, networking and events that we hope will increase your political knowledge, create a pipeline to a political future and collaborate on issues important to you.

    Join five female panelists as they discuss their journey to politics, their exciting experience working on campaigns and/or with political non-profits in 2014 and the need for more women of color to join the front lines of some of the most pressing issues facing Florida voters.

  • Strategic Non Violent Action Training with Rivera Sun
    Wednesday, February 4, 2015 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

    Orlando Light Brigade, Speak Up Florida, and the Global Peace Network, bring Rivera Sun to Orlando on her Nationwide tour with Campaign Nonviolence. Sun will be presenting a 2 hour version of her "Seeds of Change" workshop, with a special focus on Mass Incarceration and the Campaign to End the New Jim Crow.Rivera Sun is touring the United States in Spring 2015 teaching workshops on strategic nonviolent action, speaking about Campaign Nonviolence to groups, and reading from her novel, The Dandelion Insurrection, which depicts a popular nonviolent movement in the United States.
